The Cannes Can: Diversity Collective (CC:DC) was created in 2017 due to the continued conversation regarding the lack of diversity in the Advertising/Marketing Industry. For decades there have been a plethora of industry leaders that have expressed concern regarding this issue.
The Cannes Can: Diversity Collective has moved beyond concern to creation, by creating the opportunity for previously absent faces of color to be represented at the 2018 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and beyond.
Our VISION is bold! We want to transform the advertising industry – the space that controls the images of how we view the human condition – to be a radically inclusive space where the devaluing of human creative capital becomes repulsive to the DNA of the industry. Therefore,the current culture of “isms’’ will be eradicated by a full embrace of equality, diversity and inclusion. Together, we will show how diversity of individuals and ideas is an industry win-win.

In 2019 CC:DC's scholars program experienced a growth spurt! We went from 5 scholars to 25 scholars and Ambassadors. Our Scholars and Ambassadors had one main objective: "Show Up and Show Out!" at the 66th Annual Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity.
